Get to know Croatia’s heavenly Dalmatian Islands on this self-guided trekking tour. Imagine savouring Mediterranean food and culture while you explore some of the most stunning places in all of Croatia.
Settle in Split on the first day and get your legs moving as you climb towards the top of Marjan Hill for a fabulous view of the stone buildings with red-tiled roofs and palm-tree-lined promenade of Old Town Split.
Head back in time when you arrive on Brac Island, where you’ll hike near Supetar among medieval villages and stunning coastline.
Mid-week, you’ll travel to Hvar, a famous holiday-goer island with plenty of history to discover. As you move south in the Adriatic Sea, you hit Korcula Island, where you settle in Vela Luka for two nights—this allows time for a deeper hiking exploration of the area. Find your favourite secluded cove for a swim, or head into the rocky hills for superb views.
Venture to the opposite end of the island and trek around Korcula town—a settlement from the Middle Ages with its encompassing walls still intact. The end of the week includes a visit to one of Croatia’s spectacular National Parks: Mljet National Park.
Finally, you’ll receive transportation to Dubrovnik on the last day of the tour, where you can extend your trip on your own or head home.
You should have a moderate level of fitness since you’ll be hiking each day of the tour, but there are several options for hiking routes provided in a guidebook that you’ll receive on Day 1.
